Security
Our e-commerce system uses encryption (SSL & GPG) to transmit
sensitive data such as credit card details. Data is encrypted at every
stage from leaving your browser to when it is decoded by an authorised
member of staff at our office. Such data are never stored unencrypted
on our internet servers. This is more secure than, for example,
ordering by telephone.
Alternative payment methods
If you cannot pay by credit card online, you can also submit your card
details by telephone, fax or post. Please use the contact addresses
published throughout this website. We can also accept International
Money Orders, or cheques drawn on a UK bank. If paying by any of these
methods, please submit the online order request as usual and write e.g.
"cheque to follow by post" in the Special Message area of the order
form.
Import taxes
Please note that we can accept no responsibility for duties and other
import taxes which certain countries (or states) may apply to your
order. Please enquire in advance if you wish to ask about experience we
may have had in shipping to your area. By placing your order with us
you are assuming all responsibility for the legality of personally
importing the products in question.
Returns
We operate a full 'no questions asked' 28 day return policy. Simply
send back the product within four weeks, undamaged and in its original
packaging, and we will refund the full sales price to your credit card
account (or by the alternative payment method originally used).
All goods are shipped at our risk, but any damage or loss must be
notified within 48 hours by e-mail, fax or telephone. Always sign for
deliveries as "UNOPENED". It is very rare that it happens, but if you
suspect that something in your package might be broken, do not refuse
it. Keep the package and sign for the loss/damage and notify us
immediately. We will then forward you instructions about returning the
item at our expense, and ship you a replacement or re-imburse your
payment if we are out of stock of any item.
Availability & substitutions
If the product you order is temporarily out of stock, we will normally
contact you for further instructions.
Dispatch
Unless otherwise specified on the site, most items will be dispatched
ex-stock within two working days of your payment being cleared. Please
contact us in advance if you have a deadline by which an order needs to
arrive, and we will always do our best to help.
Our standard shipping arrangement is to use First Class post for all
orders within the UK, and standard Parcel Force delivery for the rest of
the world. All orders whould arrive with you within 28 days, unless
stated otherwise on the site. Please contact us in advance for
information on alternative methods, including rapid courier delivery.
Order tracking
If you request rapid courier delivery, we will email you with an order
tracking number from UPS. You will be able to use this on the UPS
website to determine exactly where your order is at any time within
their system.
Changes & cancellations
Please note that once an order has been placed, we can accept no
responsibility for changes or cancellations. However, if you email us
and your order has not yet been dispatched, we will do our best to make
any changes you request. If an order has already been dispatched, we
accept returns as outlined above, but you will be responsible for
delivery costs.
Privacy
We take your right to privacy seriously. We guarantee not to use the
email address or other contact information you submit with your order
from this website for any purpose except to contact you for
clarification etc. in connection with this particular order. If you
believe that details have been used in contravention with this policy,
please inform both us and Scotweb Ltd.
Mispricings
We have taken every reasonable care to ensure that price and
descriptions thoughout this site are accurate. But we recognise that
mistakes can occur, and will correct any brought to our attention as
quickly as possible. Errors & Omissions Excepted (E&OE).
Fraud
It is our policy to report any real or apparant attempt at fraud to the
police, credit card agencies, and any other relevant authorities.
Legalities
Any dispute arising out of your order from this site will be governed by
the laws of Scotland.
